Question 1

What is Todofy?

Accepted Answer

Todofy is an AI-powered task manager and todo app. Capture tasks by voice or typing, set smart reminders, and access your inbox on iPhone and the web. Built GDPR-first in Austria for users in Europe, the Middle East, and worldwide.

Question 2

How does voice-to-task work?

Accepted Answer

Tap the microphone, speak your task (for example "Pick up dry cleaning tomorrow at 5"), and Todofy uses AI to parse the title, due date, time, and reminder. Review the draft before saving. Voice audio is processed to create your task and then discarded.

Question 3

Is Todofy free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Todofy is a personal project you can use voluntarily in your own interest. Unlimited typed tasks, free push and email. Only voice (and connection caps) use fair limits so the service stays available for everyone.

Question 4

Are there limits on the free app?

Accepted Answer

Yes — fair limits so the free service stays available for everyone. Typed tasks stay unlimited. Voice uses a monthly second pool, each recording has a short max length, and you can connect with up to five people for sharing. Push and email reminders are included. Limits may be adjusted as we operate the free service.

Question 5

Where is my data stored?

Accepted Answer

Your account and task data are hosted in the European Union. Todofy is GDPR-first from Austria, with export and deletion in the app. Voice is processed only when you record and is not kept as a permanent audio archive.

Question 6

Does Todofy use AI?

Accepted Answer

Only when you choose voice capture. OpenAI transcribes and parses your voice note into a task draft. We do not sell your tasks, use them for advertising, or train models on your private content.

Question 7

Which languages and regions are supported?

Accepted Answer

The app and marketing site are available in English (worldwide), German (Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and EU), and Arabic (Middle East and worldwide). Dates and times respect your locale and timezone.

Question 8

Which devices are supported?

Accepted Answer

Todofy is on the App Store for iPhone and on the web. Sign in once and your tasks sync on the same account. Android is coming later.

Question 9

Can I share tasks with my family?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Connect with up to five people and share tasks with comments and seen-by.
